Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- 1/4 head of cabbage
- a handful of bean sprouts (or soybean sprouts)
- 1 paper cup of pancake mix
- 1 paper cup of water
- 1 egg
- a suitable amount of salt
- a suitable amount of pepper
- a suitable amount of cooking oil
- a suitable amount of mayonnaise
- a suitable amount of bonito flakes
- a suitable amount of parsley flakes
Recipe 🍳
- Shred 1/4 head of cabbage as thinly as possible, wash it in water, and drain.
- Place the trimmed cabbage and a handful of bean sprouts in a bowl.
- Add 1 cup of pancake mix, 1 cup of water, 1 egg, and salt and pepper, then mix lightly. The batter doesn't need to be completely smooth; it's enough if it just clumps onto the ingredients.
- Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a preheated pan, then spread all the batter evenly in the pan.
- Cover with a lid and cook over medium-low heat until the bottom is golden and cooked through.
- Once the bottom is cooked, flip it using a spatula or the pan, cover again, and cook the other side until crispy.
- When it's fully cooked through, transfer to a plate and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on top.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of bonito flakes and parsley flakes to finish.
- Thinly shred the cabbage and place it in a bowl with the bean sprouts.
- Add pancake mix, water, egg, salt, and pepper, and toss lightly until the ingredients just come together.
- Spread the batter evenly in an oiled pan, cover, and cook over medium-low heat until both sides are golden.
- Top with mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and parsley flakes to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Shred the cabbage as thinly as possible so it blends well with the batter and gives a soft texture.
- Add shrimp, seafood, pork, etc. according to your preference for a richer taste.
- When drizzling mayonnaise, put it in a plastic bag or squeeze bottle and drizzle in a thin zigzag pattern for a nicer appearance.
