Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- appropriate amount of rice
- 1 handful of carrot
- 1 handful of gimbap ham
- 1 handful of spicy beef jerky
- 3 eggs
- appropriate amount of gimbap seaweed
- appropriate amount of pickled radish
- appropriate amount of cucumber
- a little green onion
- a pinch of seasoning salt
- generous amount of sesame oil
- a little black sesame
Recipe 🍳
- Place washed rice in the electric rice cooker, then layer on sliced carrot, gimbap ham, and spicy beef jerky. Add water as usual.
- Crack 3 eggs and place them on top. Cook using the white rice setting.
- Once the rice is done, use a spatula to mix the cooked rice thoroughly with the ingredients and eggs.
- Add a pinch of seasoning salt, generous sesame oil, and finely chopped green onion. Mix again to adjust flavor.
- Spread the seasoned rice evenly onto gimbap seaweed.
- Lay down pickled radish and long strips of cucumber, then roll tightly using your fingers—no gimbap mat needed.
- Brush the finished gimbap surface with sesame oil, slice into bite-sized pieces, and sprinkle with black sesame before serving.
- Put rice, sliced carrot, ham, spicy beef jerky, and eggs into the rice cooker and cook.
- After cooking, mix in seasoning salt, sesame oil, and green onion into the rice.
- Spread rice on seaweed, add pickled radish and cucumber, then roll tightly.
Cooking tips 💡
- Since cucumber and pickled radish contain a lot of moisture, add them only when rolling—not during cooking—to keep them crisp.
- For better mixing, slice ingredients thinly and uniformly before adding to the rice cooker.
- When rolling without a gimbap mat, avoid overfilling and press firmly with your fingertips to prevent the roll from coming apart.
