  • Those looking to quickly prepare a convenient, juicy side dish at home

Ingredients needed 🛒3 servings

  • 600g genuine Hanwoo ground beef
  • 5 green onions
  • 1 onion
  • 3 packs gochujang sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons starch

Recipe 🍳

  1. Finely chop 1 onion and 5 green onions and set aside.
  2. Place 600g of ground beef and the chopped vegetables into a bowl.
  3. Add 3 packs of gochujang sauce, 1 tablespoon light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, and 3 tablespoons starch. Mix well to season.
  4. Press down firmly on the mixture while kneading until it becomes sticky and elastic. If the mixture is too runny, add an additional 1 tablespoon of starch.
  5. Shape the mixture into round, flat patties of convenient size.
  6. Place the patties in a hot pan, sear them, then add a small amount of water, cover with a lid, and cook for 1 minute until fully cooked through and tender.
  1. Chop vegetables finely and mix with ground beef in a bowl.
  2. Combine gochujang sauce, light soy sauce, garlic, and starch in the correct amounts.
  3. Knead the beef mixture vigorously until it develops a sticky texture.
  4. Shape the mixture into round, flat patties and place them in a pan.
  5. Add a small amount of water and cover with a lid to steam-cook until fully tender inside.

Cooking tips 💡

  • When kneading the mixture, press down firmly against the bottom of the bowl to prevent the meat from breaking apart and maintain shape.
  • Adding a little water and covering the pan while cooking prevents burning and allows the patties to steam evenly, keeping them moist throughout.
