Ingredients needed 5 servings

Cooking tips

  • For blue crabs, use quick-frozen female crabs (medium size) that are full of meat; they have lots of roe and good yield.
  • Do not add ssanghwatang while boiling; add it at the end after the pickling liquid has completely cooled so the herbal aroma does not dissipate.
  • It tastes best after 3 days of aging. To keep longer, separate the crabs from the pickling liquid and freeze the crabs.

Recommended for

  • Those who want to enjoy expensive soy sauce marinated crab at home economically and generously.
  • Those who want to create a luxurious sauce flavor using ssanghwatang without complex herbal ingredients.
  • Those who want to complete a neat rice thief side dish without failure.
