Trim the connecting membrane from the white pollock roe neatly with a knife.
Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to a pan, preheat over medium-low heat, then place the roe in the pan.
When the surface of the roe is lightly cooked, pour in 1/4 cup of water and immediately cover with a lid.
Cook over low heat with the steam for 1–2 minutes until the inside is moist and cooked through, flipping once halfway.
Once the moisture has evaporated and the roe is fully cooked, transfer to a plate and finish with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and a sprinkle of gochugaru.

Place the roe in an oiled pan, add 1/4 cup of water, and cover.
Steam over low heat for 1–2 minutes until gently cooked through.
Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with sesame oil and gochugaru.
