Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- Spicy Chicken Ramen (or regular spicy chicken ramen) 1 pack
- Pork Belly 1 handful
- Onion 1/2
- Green Onion 1/2 stalk
- Light Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Water 1 cup
- Tofu 1 pack
- Chives a little
- Black Pepper a little
Recipe 🍳
- Slice 1/2 onion into thin strips and cut 1/2 green onion lengthwise into large pieces.
- Place a handful of pork belly along with the prepared onion and green onion into a pan or pot and turn on the heat.
- Stir-fry until the vegetables are wilted and the pork releases its fat, turning a deep golden-brown color.
- Once the ingredients are well-cooked, pour 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce around the edge of the pan to develop a smoky aroma, then stir-fry briefly.
- Add 1 cup of water and break the tofu pack in half, adding large chunks directly into the pot.
- Add both the liquid and powder spice packets from the spicy chicken ramen, mixing thoroughly with the tofu and simmering.
- When the broth comes to a boil, add the ramen noodles and continue cooking until the noodles are fully cooked, keeping the mixture moist.
- Once the noodles are done, sprinkle chopped chives on top as garnish and finish with a few grinds of black pepper.
- In a pan, stir-fry pork belly, onion, and green onion until browned and fatty, then add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce for aroma.
- Add 1 cup of water, tofu, and both spice packets from the spicy ramen, stirring well and bringing to a boil.
- Add the ramen noodles and cook through, then top with chives and black pepper to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- You can use regular spicy chicken ramen without issue. Since tofu naturally releases moisture, avoid adding too much water at the beginning.
- If the broth becomes too thick during cooking, don’t panic—add water gradually to reach your desired consistency.
