Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- canned ham 1 can
- tofu 1/2 block
- sausage 3
- large green onion 1
- onion 1/2
- kimchi 1 cup
- commercial beef bone broth 1 pack (300ml)
- tuna fish sauce 2 tbsp
- gochugaru 2 tbsp
- minced garlic 1 tbsp
- ramen noodles 1/2 serving
- water a little
Recipe 🍳
- Cut the canned ham and tofu into thick, similarly sized square shapes.
- Slice the sausage and the long large green onion diagonally, and thickly slice 1/2 onion.
- In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp tuna fish sauce, 2 tbsp gochugaru, and 1 tbsp minced garlic to make a thick seasoning paste.
- Arrange the prepared ham, tofu, sausage, large green onion, and onion in groups around the edge of a wide hot pot, and place 1 cup of kimchi in the center.
- Pour 300ml of commercial beef bone broth over the ingredients and place the seasoning paste on one side. (If the ingredients are not submerged, add a little water.)
- Turn the heat to high and when the broth begins to boil vigorously, evenly dissolve the seasoning paste into the broth.
- Once the seasoning is well dissolved, add the ramen noodles and boil, turning them over occasionally, until the noodles are cooked al dente.
- When the noodles are cooked, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the broth becomes rich and concentrated.
- Cut the ham, tofu, and vegetables. Mix tuna fish sauce, gochugaru, and minced garlic to make the seasoning paste.
- Arrange the ingredients in a hot pot, then add the beef bone broth and seasoning paste and boil over high heat.
- When the broth boils, dissolve the seasoning paste, add the ramen noodles, and simmer until the noodles are cooked.
Cooking tips 💡
- If tuna fish sauce is unavailable, you can substitute with light soy sauce, but using fish sauce brings out a unique deep savory flavor.
- The beef bone broth is already seasoned, so the broth can become salty. Adjust the seasoning by adding water to taste while boiling.
- The longer you boil the ham and sausage, the more their savory flavors dissolve into the broth, so it is best to continue simmering over low heat as you eat.
