Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 200g commercial chocolate
- 3 eggs
- 1 heaping spoonful flour (all-purpose or cake flour)
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- A little powdered sugar or cocoa powder
Recipe 🍳
- Finely chop 200g of commercial chocolate, place in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 1–2 minutes until completely melted.
- Stir the melted chocolate with a spatula until smooth, then add one egg first and mix well until no yolk is visible.
- Once the egg is fully absorbed, add the remaining two eggs one at a time, mixing until the batter is smooth.
- Add one large spoonful of flour and mix until no white streaks remain.
- Coat the inside of a microwave-safe container evenly with 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
- Pour the batter into the container until it’s only half full, cover loosely with a lid or plastic wrap leaving a small gap, then microwave for 5 minutes.
- After cooking, remove from microwave, invert onto a large plate to unmold the cake, and trim the top with a knife to level it.
- Using a sieve, dust the top with powdered sugar or cocoa powder to finish.
- Melt chocolate in the microwave and mix in 3 eggs one at a time.
- Add 1 spoonful of flour to form a batter, and pour into a greased container filling only halfway.
- Microwave for 5 minutes, unmold, and dust with powder to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Adding all 3 eggs at once will not blend well with the chocolate; always add them one at a time while mixing.
- The batter will puff up significantly during cooking, so never fill the container more than half to avoid overflow.
- If you don't have powdered sugar, you can use instant cocoa mix (like 'Jedi' powder), and it pairs wonderfully with an Americano or milk.
