- gwari gochu 1 pack
- flour 2 tablespoons
- water 1 tablespoon
- soy sauce 2 tablespoons
- sugar 1 tablespoon
- whole sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil 1 tablespoon
- minced garlic 1 tablespoon
Recipe 🍳
- Wash the gwari gochu thoroughly and remove the stems.
- Place the cleaned gwari gochu and 2 tablespoons of flour into a plastic bag and shake well to evenly coat with a light batter.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon whole sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon minced garlic. Mix well to make the sauce.
- Transfer the floured gwari gochu into a microwave-safe dish and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water evenly over the surface.
- Cover the dish and microwave for 3 minutes.
- Let the gwari gochu jjim cool slightly, then pour the prepared sauce over it and gently toss to combine.
- Coat washed gwari gochu with flour using a plastic bag.
- Mix the required ingredients to prepare the sauce.
- Place the gochu and 1 tablespoon of water in a microwave-safe dish and steam for 3 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly, then add the sauce and toss gently.
Cooking tips 💡
- The prepared sauce can also be used as a dipping sauce for grilled gim (seaweed).
- Do not apply the sauce immediately after microwaving—let it cool slightly to preserve the texture of the gochu and prevent the coating from falling off.
