  • tuna sauce 1 tablespoon
  • seasoning salt a little
  • onion 1/4
  • carrot a little
  • green onion a little
  • crab stick (ham) 2~3 pieces
  • cocktail shrimp appropriate amount
  • water 2 cups
  • sesame oil a little

Recipe 🍳

  1. Crack 10 eggs into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of tuna sauce and a little seasoning salt to adjust the taste.
  3. Mix in finely chopped onion, carrot, green onion, and 2 cups of water into the egg mixture until well combined.
  4. Carefully coat the inside of the steaming container with sesame oil.
  5. Pour the prepared egg mixture into the container, tear the crab sticks into pieces, distribute evenly, then place in the steamer and begin steaming.
  6. After about 5 minutes, when the surface of the egg custard is slightly set, add shrimp as topping, cover the lid, and steam for an additional 20 minutes until fully cooked through.
  1. Whisk the eggs and season with tuna sauce and a little seasoning salt.
  2. Add chopped vegetables and water to complete the egg mixture.
  3. Pour the egg mixture and torn crab sticks into a sesame-oil-coated steamer dish and steam.
  4. After 5 minutes, when the surface is slightly set, add shrimp as topping.
  5. Cover the lid and steam for another 20 minutes until fully cooked.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Coating the inside of the bowl with sesame oil prevents the egg custard from sticking, making it easy to remove or slice cleanly after cooking.
  • For a firm yet moist texture throughout, it’s best to steam for at least 25 minutes rather than just 15.
