Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- stew tofu 1 block
- eggs 2
- salt 1 pinch
- black pepper to taste
- onion 1/4
- cheongyang chili pepper 1
- green onion 1/2 stalk
- water 100ml
- soy sauce 100ml
- plum syrup 1 tbsp
- allulose 5 tbsp
- tuna extract 1 tbsp
- sesame oil 1 tbsp
- minced garlic 1 tbsp
Recipe 🍳
- Lightly press the stew tofu to remove excess water.
- In a bowl, add the tofu and 2 eggs, season with a pinch of salt and black pepper, then mash and mix thoroughly with gloved hands until smooth.
- Spread the well-mixed tofu-egg mixture evenly onto a plate.
- Bring water to a boil in a steamer. Lightly cover the plate with plastic wrap to prevent water droplets from falling on the dish, then steam for 15 minutes until fully cooked.
- While the tofu steams, finely chop 1/4 onion, 1 cheongyang chili pepper, and 1/2 green onion to prepare the sauce vegetables.
- In a bowl, combine 100ml water, 100ml soy sauce, 1 tbsp plum syrup, 5 tbsp allulose, 1 tbsp tuna extract, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp minced garlic, and the chopped vegetables. Mix well to make a versatile sauce.
- After 15 minutes, remove the steamed tofu-egg dish, take off the plastic wrap, and generously pour the prepared sauce on top to finish.
- Mash tofu with eggs, salt, and pepper, then spread on a plate.
- Cover with plastic wrap and steam for 15 minutes.
- Mix chopped vegetables with soy sauce, water, allulose, etc. to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the steamed dish and serve.
Cooking tips 💡
- Covering with plastic wrap prevents condensation from making the dish watery, depending on your steamer lid.
- Adjust the amount of cheongyang chili pepper to your preferred spice level.
- This sauce recipe makes a generous amount; leftover sauce can be used as a dipping sauce for dumplings or pancakes.
