  • squid 2 pieces
  • brewed soy sauce (or thick soy sauce) 2 tablespoons
  • mirin 2 tablespoons
  • sugar 1 tablespoon
  • sesame seeds to taste
  • fresh mustard to taste
  • sesame oil 1 tablespoon

Recipe 🍳

  1. Mix together 2 tablespoons brewed soy sauce, 2 tablespoons mirin, 1 tablespoon sugar, sesame seeds, fresh mustard, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil to make the seasoning sauce.
  2. Blanch the squid in boiling water until it develops a firm, chewy texture.
  3. Immediately transfer the blanched squid to cold water to cool, then drain thoroughly and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Place the cut squid in a serving bowl, pour the prepared sauce evenly over it, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
