Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- water drop greens 100g
- onion half
- medium red pepper powder 2 tablespoons
- minced garlic 1 tablespoon
- whole sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
- tuna sauce 2 tablespoons
- sesame oil 1 tablespoon
Recipe 🍳
- Rinse water drop greens thoroughly under running water, then trim off the tough stems and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Slice half an onion into thin strips, about 5mm thick, not too thick.
- Place the prepared water drop greens and sliced onion into a mixing bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons red pepper powder, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon whole sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons tuna sauce, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil.
- Toss gently with your hands—don’t press too hard to avoid crushing the greens—and mix lightly until well combined.
- Wash water drop greens thoroughly, remove tough stems, and slice the onion.
- Add all vegetables and seasonings to a bowl one by one.
- Gently toss with fingertips to avoid strong aroma, keeping the greens light and fresh.
Cooking tips 💡
- Using tuna sauce instead of regular soy sauce enhances the umami flavor and makes this dish much more delicious.
- Do not prepare in advance—greens lose their freshness and release water quickly; best served right before eating, ideally while grilling meat or setting the table.
