- In a large microwave-safe bowl, place the chicken thigh meat cut into bite-sized pieces, potatoes, carrots, onions, green onions, and Cheongyang chili peppers.
- Add soy sauce, cooking oil, rice wine, gochujang, sugar, gochugaru, corn syrup, and oyster sauce in appropriate amounts, and toss until the ingredients are evenly coated.
- Tightly cover the bowl with plastic wrap and poke a few holes with a fork.
- Place in the microwave and cook for 12 minutes for the first stage.
- After 12 minutes, carefully remove the bowl, add minced garlic for a pungent kick, and stir everything together.
- Cover again with plastic wrap, return to the microwave, and cook for an additional 12 minutes until the potatoes and meat are fully cooked through.
- In a large bowl, combine the boneless chicken, vegetables, and seasonings such as gochujang, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, and mix well.
- Cover with plastic wrap, poke holes, and microwave for 12 minutes first.
- Remove, stir in minced garlic, then microwave for another 12 minutes to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Adding a little cooking oil to the seasoning prevents the chicken from drying out and gives it a glossy sheen; you can omit it if you prefer a cleaner taste.
- When the potatoes are tender and a chopstick goes through easily, the meat is also fully cooked, so feel free to enjoy.
- Adding garlic from the beginning may cause its flavor to dissipate, so adding it during the middle cooking stage is the secret to maximizing its aroma.
