Seungwoo Dad's Spam Neapolitan Pasta

Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings

  • Pasta noodles, 1 serving
  • Spam, 1/2 can
  • Onion, 1/2
  • Peeled garlic, 3 cloves
  • Cabbage, a handful
  • Oyster mushrooms, a little
  • Ketchup, 3-4 tablespoons
  • Toasted sesame seeds, a little
  • Sesame oil, a little
  • Seasoned salt, 2 teaspoons (for pasta water)

Recipe 🍳

  1. Boil the pasta noodles in water with 2 teaspoons of seasoned salt and set aside.
  2. Cut the spam into bite-sized pieces, slice the garlic, and cut the onion, cabbage, and mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Lightly oil a pan and stir-fry the spam until golden brown and oil renders.
  4. Once the spam oil is released, add the garlic and onion and stir-fry together, then add all the leftover vegetables like cabbage and mushrooms and stir-fry quickly over high heat.
  5. When the vegetables have wilted, add the cooked noodles and drizzle with tomato ketchup, stir-frying until well coated and moist.
  6. Finish by turning off the heat and, if desired, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or drizzle a drop of sesame oil for extra nuttiness.
