Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 1 California avocado
- 1/2 apple mango
- 6-8 slices prosciutto
- Handful of arugula
- 2-3 tbsp Kaymak cheese (cream cheese or mascarpone can be substituted)
- Drizzle of white balsamic sauce
- Sprinkle of crushed pistachios
Recipe 🍳
- Halve the avocado, remove the pit and peel, grill on a dry pan to enhance flavor, then slice lengthwise.
- Peel the apple mango and slice it lengthwise to a similar thickness and size as the avocado.
- Lay out a long piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper on a cutting board, and arrange the prosciutto slices slightly overlapping to form a rectangle.
- Layer the sliced grilled avocado, apple mango, and fresh arugula evenly over the prosciutto.
- Add Kaymak cheese (or cream cheese) in a line over the ingredients for creaminess.
- Using the plastic wrap as a rolling mat, tightly roll from the bottom upwards, securing the roll.
- Carefully unwrap the roll and slice into bite-sized pieces, arranging them attractively on a plate.
- Drizzle with white balsamic sauce in a zigzag pattern and sprinkle with crushed pistachios for added nutty flavor.
- Grill avocado, slice lengthwise. Slice apple mango to a similar size.
- Lay plastic wrap on a cutting board, overlap prosciutto slices, and top with avocado, mango, arugula, and Kaymak cheese.
- Roll tightly using the plastic wrap, similar to making sushi rolls.
- Slice into bite-sized pieces, arrange on a plate, and drizzle with white balsamic sauce and crushed pistachios.
Cooking tips 💡
- When rolling the prosciutto, pull the plastic wrap or parchment paper taut to ensure a tight seal, which will help the roll maintain its shape when sliced.
- While Kaymak cheese offers a uniquely subtle creaminess, dense cream cheese or mascarpone can be used as excellent substitutes if Kaymak is unavailable.
