Recipe 🍳
- Cut the belly pork into bite-sized pieces, and chop the scallions into large chunks about finger-length.
- Place the belly pork and scallions in a dry, hot pan and sear them on both sides until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix water, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and minced ginger according to measurements to create the sweet-savory sauce.
- Pour the sauce into the pan with the seared pork and scallions, then simmer over medium heat until the sauce is fully absorbed and coats the ingredients.
- Serve warm rice in a bowl, top generously with the braised pork and scallions, then garnish with egg yolk, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds.
