Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- broccoli 1 head
- enoki mushrooms 1 pack
- butter 1 to 2 tablespoons
- tuna sauce 1 tablespoon
- minced garlic 1/2 tablespoon
- perilla seed powder 5 tablespoons
- a pinch of seasoning salt
Recipe 🍳
- Wash the broccoli thoroughly in vinegar water, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Rinse the enoki mushrooms lightly under running water and tear them into strands along the clusters.
- Place the prepared broccoli and enoki mushrooms in a microwave-safe container and distribute butter pieces evenly over the top.
- Put the container in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes. If there's still a cool feel, add 30-second intervals until the vegetables are perfectly cooked.
- Do not rinse the vegetable juice from the cooked vegetables with cold water. Instead, gently squeeze it out by hand while the vegetables are still warm.
- Transfer the squeezed broccoli and mushrooms to a mixing bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of tuna sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, 5 tablespoons of perilla seed powder, and a pinch of seasoning salt. Mix well until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
- Clean and prepare broccoli and enoki mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the vegetables in a microwave-safe container, top with butter, and cook for at least 2 minutes until tender.
- Squeeze out the vegetable juice without rinsing with cold water.
- Add tuna sauce, minced garlic, 5 tablespoons of perilla seed powder, and a pinch of seasoning salt; mix thoroughly.
Cooking tips 💡
- Never rinse the cooked vegetables with cold water, as this washes away the aromatic butter flavor and the natural sweetness of the vegetables—keeping them warm and squeezing out the juice is key.
- If you don’t have tuna sauce, you can use a small amount of regular dried anchovy sauce or hairtail fish sauce to achieve a similar savory taste.
