- water 2L
- store-bought beef rice noodle broth (concentrate) 50ml
- oyster sauce 2 tablespoons
- beef dashi (or galbi tang dashi) 0.5 tablespoon
- a pinch of white pepper
- rice noodles 2 servings
- store-bought char siu slices as needed
- green lettuce 2 heads
- scallions as needed
- bean sprouts 1 handful
Recipe 🍳
- Pour 2L of water into a pot and add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and 0.5 tablespoon of beef dashi (or galbi tang dashi).
- Add 50ml of store-bought beef rice noodle broth concentrate and lightly stir in white pepper to bring the broth to a gentle boil.
- While the broth is boiling, chop scallions into bite-sized pieces, and heat the store-bought char siu slices in the microwave.
- Boil the rice noodles in a separate pot, drain, and set aside in a serving bowl.
- Add green lettuce and bean sprouts to the boiling broth and cook briefly until just wilted. Pour the broth over the noodles in the bowl, then top with char siu, green lettuce, bean sprouts, and scallions to finish.
- Combine water, oyster sauce, dashi, rice noodle broth, and pepper in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Chop scallions and microwave the store-bought char siu slices.
- Boil the noodles, drain, and place in a serving bowl.
- Add green lettuce and bean sprouts to the broth to blanch briefly, then pour over the noodles and top with garnishes to complete.
