Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- 150g beef sirloin (for grilling)
- 100g glass noodles
- 2 stalks green onion
- 1/2 package enoki mushrooms
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp ground sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Pinch of scallions
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- Pinch of cooking oil
Recipe 🍳
- Lightly season the sirloin steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and ground sesame seeds, mixing until the sugar dissolves to make the sauce.
- Cut the white parts of the green onions lengthwise into wide, long pieces, similar to the glass noodles, for easy eating. Separate the enoki mushrooms into strands.
- Boil the glass noodles in boiling water for 8 minutes, then rinse thoroughly in cold water to remove starch and drain.
- Lightly oil a pan and sear the seasoned beef over high heat for about 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the green onions to the same pan and stir-fry until partially softened. Add enoki mushrooms and minced garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Cut the boiled glass noodles into manageable lengths and add them to the pan. Stir-fry lightly to remove moisture.
- Pour in the prepared sauce and stir-fry over medium heat for about 1 minute until the noodles are coated. Turn off the heat and mix in sesame oil.
- Arrange the stir-fried noodles and vegetables in a bowl. Slice the seared steak and place it on top. Garnish generously with ground sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper, and make a sauce with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame seeds.
- Chop the green onions and enoki mushrooms into large pieces. Boil the glass noodles for 8 minutes and rinse in cold water.
- Sear the beef on high heat until golden brown on both sides, then set aside.
- In the pan with remaining beef fat, stir-fry green onions, enoki mushrooms, and garlic. Add glass noodles and sauce, stir-fry for 1 minute, and mix in sesame oil.
- Serve the noodles in a bowl with sliced steak, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.
Cooking tips 💡
- Using thin grilling sirloin instead of thick steak shortens cooking time and makes it easier to eat with the glass noodles.
- Grinding the sesame seeds finely in a mortar or blender, rather than using whole seeds, will release a more explosive savory flavor.
