Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- sundae 1 pack
- jjolmyeon stick 1 serving
- zucchini 1/4 piece
- onion 1/2 piece
- green chili pepper 1 piece
- scallion 1/2 bunch
- egg 1 piece
- gochujang oil 2 tablespoons
- minced garlic 1 tablespoon
- broth (or water) 2 cups (400ml)
- red pepper powder 1.5 tablespoons
- soy sauce 1 tablespoon
Recipe 🍳
- Cut zucchini and onion into bite-sized pieces, and finely chop green chili peppers and scallions.
- Heat gochujang oil in a pot, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add zucchini and onion, stirring to cook together.
- Pour in the prepared broth and bring to a boil; once boiling, season with red pepper powder and soy sauce for a spicy flavor.
- When the broth begins to bubble, add large chunks of sundae and pre-boiled jjolmyeon sticks, then simmer together.
- Once the noodles absorb the broth, finish by cracking an egg into the pot, then sprinkle with chopped scallions and green chili peppers.
- Prepare vegetables and sauté them in a pot with gochujang oil and minced garlic.
- Add broth and bring to a boil, then season with red pepper powder and soy sauce.
- Add sundae and boiled jjolmyeon, then finish by adding egg and scallions.
Cooking tips 💡
- To prevent the broth from becoming overly thick or greasy, briefly blanch the jjolmyeon in boiling water and rinse under cold water before adding.
- For deeper flavor, optionally stir in clams or ground pork while cooking the vegetables.
